What We Do

Student Scholarships

At IIM International, our first priority is keeping school aged children in school. Orphans and vulnerable children in Zambia often find themselves unable to pursue their education once they enter secondary school and school fees become a factor. In 2013, we started offering full scholarships to qualifying secondary students so they could remain in school. Click here to learn more.

Boarding Facility

Our partner school in Chalata did not have adequate housing for students and many of our scholarship students were walking more than 5 miles each morning to reach school. At the same time, these kids were not sleeping under mosquito nets, rarely received balanced nutrition, and had limited access to study space. In 2014, we opened dormitories to accommodate all of our scholarship students just a 5 minute walk from their school.

In addition to the Student Life Center, we have begun stocking a growing library with book donations from around the world. Each year, we send or deliver large quantities of books to add to the collection which enhance the education system of the Chalata community as a whole.
